Charmed: Who are the new heroines of the remake?

Alyssa Milano Speaks on 'Charmed' Reboot | The Mary Sue

Attention Charmed fans: the names and powers of the Halliwell 2.0 sisters have been revealed!

After four years of development, the new version of Charmed will finally see the light of day. The 4Ps: Piper, Phoebe, Paige and Prue will give way to the 3Ms! The reboot, whose pilot episode was recently ordered by The CW, will tell the story of sisters Macy, Mel and Madisson Pruitt. The director, Jennie Snyder Urman (Jane The Virgin) wanted to inject a boost of strength and feminism by revisiting this cult series from the 90s. Although the casting is still in progress, the TVLine site has unveiled the profile of the three sisters.

Macy is a witty young woman in her late thirties. Passionate about science, she has a doctorate in quantum physics. She will move with her boyfriend Galvin to Hiltowne, Michigan to work in the university laboratory. Her power will be… telekinesis, like Prue (Shannen Doherty) and Paige (Rose McGowan) back then

Mel is around 25 years old. The youngest is a committed feminist, a bit authoritarian. Lesbian, she shares her life with Inspector Soo Jin. Following a tragic accident, Mel becomes very angry, even violent, pushing away anyone who wishes to help him, including his girlfriend. Like Piper (Holly Marie Combs), her power is to stop time.

Madison, the youngest, is barely 18 years old. Very athletic, she is a cheerleader, does Pilates and is a member of a sorority. She is telepathic, but remains terrified of being a witch. Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), she had the power of premonition and empathy.

I have no words....... I mean I have a lot of words but at this juncture... sure...... yeah ......... We Wish Them Well ... ........... https://t.co/s9mdsZUhLo

Faced with the revelations of the American site, Holly Mary Combs reacted on her Twitter account. She does not seem convinced by the profile of the Halliwell 2.0 sisters. "I don't have the words... I mean, I have a lot of words, but at this point... For sure... Yeah... We wish them the best."
