Legacies spoilers follow.
The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, came to an emotional conclusion with its fifth season in 2018, and since we have seen a number of characters from the universe appear in the Legacies spin-off focused on Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell).
Notably, Matt Davies has been one of the main cast as Alaric Saltzman, but there have also been guest appearances from the likes of Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan, Steven R McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert, Chris Wood as Kai Parker, as well as Riley Voelkel and Claire Holt as Freya and Rebekah Mikaelson respectively.
Now, it has been confirmed that both Voelkel and Holt will be joining Legacies once more in guest roles, alongside the return of Charles Michael Davis as Marcel Gerard and Nathaniel Buzolic as Kol Mikaelson.

The upcoming episode, titled 'Everything That Can Be Lost May Also Be Found', will see the Mikaelson siblings and Marcel return to help Hope as she battles with internal evil to regain her humanity.
A synopsis for the episode reads: "Hope continues to be swirled in confusion and fighting her humanity, which results in her seeing the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol and Freya. Kaleb (Chris Lee) wants to introduce Cleo (Omono Okojie) to his world, including those who had the most profound influence on his path. Meanwhile, Lizzy (Jenny Boyd) devises a plan to get in someone's good graces."
A teaser for the episode (which airs on April 14) sees Hope asking the family: "Why won't you just go away?" to which Rebekah replies: "No matter how powerful we are, our greatest strength is family. Always and forever."

Fans will recognise "always and forever" as the Mikaelson family motto and an ode to the very first episode of The Originals in which the family's bond ties them together no matter how dark things become.
Meanwhile, former The Originals star Daniella Pineda revealed exclusively to Digital Spy that she would love to return to the franchise, though isn't sure how it would be done considering her character (witch Sophie Deveraux) was last seen taking a final breath.
"She was haemorrhaging out of all her orifices to what I think was a Nickelback soundtrack. If they can find a way for Sophie to come back from the dead, perhaps that's something that can be explored... That show is so massive, and has such an incredible, loyal group of fans. I would go back anytime."
