Emmerdale fans will delight in the reunion of a beloved couple next week, as Amelia Spencer rekindles her romance with Noah Dingle.

After brutually dumping her boyfriend when she learned he'd paid money to his cousin Sampson to stay away from his baby daughter Esther, the teen finally sees his true intentions in upcoming episodes and decides to give him another chance.

Meanwhile Samson, who was ostracised by his family when they learned he'd been trying to blackmail Noah, sees the error of his ways and pleads with Amelia to forgive him - will she agree?

In the upcoming episodes, Noah (Jack Downham) is keen to reassure Amelia (Daisy Campbell) that her lump probably isn't cancerous, after she shared her cancer scare last week.

She worries that Esther will be left with Samson (Sam Hall) should anything happen to her, given he is her daughter's biological father.

Noah expresses that he still wants to be with her but Amelia's overwhelmed and unsure of her feelings.

Later, Noah gives in to Lydia's interrogation and tells her about Amelia's lump, and she is furious when she hears how Samson responded.

Lydia gives a defensive Samson both barrels about the way he dealt with her, but his father Sam is more sympathetic to Samson's situation as it becomes clear Amelia's ordeal has triggered the loss of his own mother Alice.

Frustrated, Samson worries for Esther but admits that he still can't be the dad Sam has been to him.

Sam is determined to support his son and understands how hard it must have been for Samson to grow up without a mother.

Meanwhile Noah is over the moon when Amelia admits she's missed him and wants to get back together, and the pair share a kiss.

The next day, Samson tries to apologise to Amelia, but tired and hurt she doesn't have the energy to hear him out.

Will he be able to explain himself and make Amelia understand his behaviour?

It comes after Emmerdale fans couldn't believe how 'decent' Samson had turned into a 'twisted' and 'bitter monster' after his blackmailing was revealed last month.

The teenager, played by Sam Hall, faced the wrath of Charity (Emma Atkins) after she discovered he had been blackmailing her son Noah, who had given his cousin all of Esther's trust fund.  

Samson was unremorseful and refused to hand back the thousands of pounds after being confronted about his wrongdoings in a shouting match in the street with Charity and his father Sam.

He was also unbothered by Sam's threat to throw him out of the house if he didn't hand the money back and later told his father he had packed his bags.

As Samson told his father he wasn't a great role model himself and, unlike him, had dreams of being rich, he threw his keys in the street and refused to hand the money back to Noah.

Fans watching were unimpressed by Samson's radical change of character and joked it was almost as if he had been 'taken over by an alien'.    

One wrote: 'Hate the way they've created a monster with Samson like personality transplant over past year! Actually hope he keeps the cash and leaves now!!!! Hate his smugness!!!!!!!!!'

Another viewer chimed: 'The writers really f****d up Samson's character. He used to be decent. Now he's a vile little blackmailing sociopath.'

A third chimed: 'Samson has definitely been taken over by an alien!,' while a fourth added: 'I hate what they've done to Samson's character.'
