The Simpsons Hit & Run remake made by a fan in Unreal Engine 5 already has all playable missions.

The game of my childhood looks better than ever thanks to the talent and dedication of a modder

The Simpsons Hit & Run is one of those games that marked an era. One where, for some reason, games based on movie and TV franchises were good. The era of PlayStation 2, the original Xbox and the GameCube left us with some incredible gems, but the history of Hit & Run is a sad one because, while other games in its fifth year have ended up making the leap to modern platforms, Hit & Run's Springfield & Run has been gathering dust.
A modder is recreating The Simpsons Hit & Run in Unreal Engine 5 and it looks amazing

And it won't be because fans don't want to play the game again on their current consoles and PCs. The Simpsons Hit & Run has managed to beat the passage of time and become a true timeless game that, even today, is incredibly enjoyable.
That is why in the absence of an official remake, a talented modder has gone to work and is remaking the entire game in Unreal Engine 5.
On his YouTube channel, which has more than 374,000 subscribers, reubs explains the entire game development process step by step.
In the latest update it has confirmed that all the missions are already playable, so this unofficial remake of The Simpsons Hit & Run is getting closer to seeing the light.

Being a work done by a fan, it will be necessary to see if Disney interferes and prevents the development of the game from finally being completed. My hope is that Hit & Run will return in some form, either as an official remake, a sequel, or at the very least let the community keep the flame alive.
