UK-based Gogglebox program. In front of the TV, he is very popular among Polish viewers. In each episode, families and couples sit down in front of the TV to watch and comment on the latest episodes of popular Polish shows and series. Among the participants was, among others, Mariusz Kozak, who performs together with Jacek Szawioła. The program also featured seniors loved by many viewers, i.e. Regina, Basia and Józek. It turns out that their casting for the program looked quite unusual.
Gogglebox: how did Regina, Józek and Basia get into the program?
Mariusz Kozak decided to tell a story behind the scenes of the Gogglebox program. In front of the TV about Regina, Józek and Basia. Seniors have stolen the hearts of a large part of the viewers and often proved that they have an unusual sense of humor. For several years, unfortunately, they can no longer be seen in the program after Basia died as a result of a tragic accident in early February 2018. Her death was a great shock not only to many fans of the program, but also to the other participants of the show.
At the beginning of 2023, Mariusz Kozak shared with the viewers a memory that reminds him of Regina, Józek and Basia. In addition to the participant's program, they can watch, among others, on TikTok, where he runs his own profile. Mariusz Kozak often shares interesting facts about Gogglebox on it. In one of the videos, he revealed that the seniors got into the program by accident after they were noticed in the park by the person responsible for the casting:
You often ask about casting, so I'll tell you how three seniors got to the program: Józek, Regina and then Basia. They were sitting on a bench in the park and talking to each other and the typewriter who is casting for Gogglebox was sitting on the bench next to them and overheard them. So she invited me to do a screen test, and that's how they got into the show. (...) So be careful what you say in the city, because someone may overhear you and invite you to the program.
